To achieve the objective of "Education for Equality", women are being educated through regular meetings, discussions and trainings to kindle in them a better understanding for life.

Mahila Shikshan Kendra (Women's Residential Schools)
12 district-level residential schools are being run on a regular basis. The first batch of women were enrolled in 1995. In 1997 the first batch of adolescent girls were enrolled in Varanasi. As many as 4635 Kishories/women were made literate and out of them 3414 brought into the mainstream and have passed class V examination.



NPEGEL-Improving girl child education
  • Started in the year 2003-2004 with 48 schools.

  • In the year 2004-2005 it extended upto 107 schools in 119 Nyay Panchayats of 12 districts.

  • Uniforms for girls.

  • 108 Meena Manch, 105 Bal kendras, libraries, toys and swings.

  • Bicycles/Rikshas provided for girls.

  • TOT on F.L.E. for the teachers.

  • 50 Summer camps on F.L.E. were organised for boys and girls.

  • The prime mover are members of Sangha and Mahasangha.

KGBV is presently functioning in 10 districts with around 795 girls benefiting from it.
