Major Challenges

Through each subject the emphasis is on developing:
-Physical, social and emotional aspects.
-Understanding, attitude, skill.
-Thinking skills, life skills and leadership qualities.
Lesson Plan
- Not Planned for an average student
- Multi dimensional plans for different ability levels with different types of reinforcement
- Some core activity in which all can participate
Teaching Learning Strategies:
- Groups activities - with member of each group working on different tasks
- Worksheets to work in groups and work alone
- Teacher creates small independent activities for children who are behind or ahead of class level or have special educational needs
- Theme or purpose of each lesson in the textbook is understood and activities are build around that
For this following TLS are used-
- Activity based, throwing challenge, time bound, goal setting + enjoyable, valuing their experience, finding options, active decision making.
- Conversation, discussion, role play, interview, project, exposure visit, case study, real life stories, song music, resource persons.
- Cooperative project:- Kishori akhbar, Kishori sansad, School shabad kosh, Kitchen garden, survey, Mann ka samay.
From classroom to community
- Exposure visits are planned and frequent close interactions with girls of MSK,Kishori Kendra and Parishadiya schools.
- The MS UP run KGBV girls will also get a chance for internship with Sangha and Mahasanghas of MS to tryout their classroom learnings and understand their environment better.
Pupil's assessment
Are planned to find an insight in the pattern and pace of student's learning and redesign nature of classroom environment and instructions accordingly. Pupil's assessment is well integrated with classroom processes, informal group and individualized assessments are done. Emphasis is on every day observations by teachers.
Follow up and Monitoring
- One dedicated RP of DIU also received training for close monitoring and support.
- The KGBVs are evaluated on the basis of pedagogy, management etc.
- Experts from outside and one state representative, DPC and RP of the concerned districts.
- After the evaluation 2 days meeting is held where the feedback are analyzed.
- The needs and possibilities of all the districts are analyzed individually.
- Feedback is provided accordingly to all the districts.
KGBV followup and monitoring:
A = better than expected; B = as expected; C = emerging, but some difficulties; D = too many shortcomings, not good= X, not done= -, not observed=?
